As part of the UNDP-supported, GEF-financed Africa Minigrid Program (AMP) that the Government of the Republic of Sudan received finance from the GEFto finance the NATIONAL CHILD MINIGRID PROJECT
The project’s main objective is to develop solar PV Minigrid as a major avenue for rural electrification in Sudan’s rural energy landscape, which is currently an underdeveloped market in which private sector involvement and appetite have been very limited in the past.
The project aims to construct three solar power plants to form a hybrid system with diesel plants Located in three states (will be selected later).
It is intended that part of the proceeds will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts for the recruitment of individual consultant for the position of Project Manager (full-time) who will be a member of the project implementation unit (PIU). The PIU will be in Khartoum City.
Ministry of Energy & Petroleum now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in the above assignment. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services in the form of curriculum vitae (CV) detailing position held, project experiences, and detailed tasks performed.
The only sort listed candidates will be contacted. the estimated duration of the contract is 12 months with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance. The estimated starting date of the assignment is February 2023.
