A remarkable milestone was recently achieved by the Dongola Wind Pilot Project. In December 2022, the project completed the installation of a 900 Kilowatt wind turbine. The commissioning and final testing phases are scheduled to begin in March 2023.

This marks a significant step in bringing Sudan closer to a more sustainable and green future. The operation of the pilot project will serve as a proof of concept to encourage private and public investment in clean energy for the African region.
