The workshop also discussed the current status of alternative renewable energy sources in Sudan. This discussion was followed by a presentation focusing on the Renewable Energy Master Plan.

The workshop highlighted the integration of the Sudanese Wind Atlas 2018 into the SETCO GIS system, alongside the possibility of utilizing GIS applications in identifying the best locations for the proposed wind farms.
