The workshop presented an analysis and proposals regarding the establishment, structure, and coordination mechanism of Sudan’s envisaged inter-ministerial “National High Committee for Renewable Energy (NHCRE)”.

The NHCRE is intended to be established with a mandate and operational guidelines to initiate, strengthen and harmonize Renewable Energy (RE) policies, and streamline the decision-making process therein. The NHCRE study was prepared by WEP national consultants Dr. Abdalla Kafeel with assistance from Dr. Babikir Abdalla.
